Trucks… will I really know the difference between 60$ calibers and 250$ precision like SR? I mean, yeah they are nice, but is it really worth it? Or just a high luxury?

buy @boardnamics preciscion milled trucks for less than $100.

the difference is cheap trucks are cast aluminum and precision ones are normally milled

Tighter dimensional tolerances of the precision trucks makes motor mounts easier to fit well, and cast aluminum is generally weaker and more brittle than the material precision trucks are made of.

Fell asleep after coming back from the ruckus event. God I like the new lacroix boards. I’m setup on inner springs. As for tensioning, I might need a bit of hand holding or a link to a tutorial if you have one. As for settings I’d have to check in the next days, we st them up as foc hybrid this morning with automatic setup from ack.
Build thread needs a bit of updating

Ah, here we go. Try outer position on front/back. If that’s feeling too stiff you can move the front back to inner position. Rear should definitely be outer.

@DerelictRobot Should I go all white for dampas?

I generally only run damps in the rear, if at all. I run reds if I do but that’s rider preference

That’s about $100 over what they sell for.

I only have yellow, green and white ones

Entirely up to you. I haven’t even been running with damps lately but I can’t recommend that without practice and familiarity of your setup

Wouldn’t removing them make the trucks even more unstable at speeds?

Pink dampas in the back, orange in the front is perfect if you like speed, if not go with just orange in the back

Potentially, but you can learn to ride without them entirely as well. My Kaly build runs no damps at all and I can push 40+ on it.

I ain’t paying another 40$ of imports just for dampers

Are you running 16"+ hangars?

I suggest you experiment with what you have and find what you like. Softer damps should go front, firmer back, or equal. You can also run no damps in front, only in back. That combined with spring tensioning gives you a lot of fine tuning control.

Yeah, I’ve got a board with Trampas & another with Kaly channel trucks
