AL's "Totally Not DIY" Mach 1 Mods

I’ve been snowed under with fucking adult responsibilities the last few days so i haven’t been able to do much fun stuff

During this time I have made a notable decision tho. I have fully committed to the Mach 1. There will be no other boards, the Mach 1 is my one and only for the foreseeable future.

I pillaged the beating heart out of my only remaining build and sold the rest of the build and associated parts for pennies on the dollar.

The battery has been promptly stripped down in preparation to be rebuilt for a new top box for #09.

The monies made selling the rest of the parts will go towards getting a new pair of shoes for #09, picking up a set of v2 madwheels and pulleys from @Tony_Stark when I go pick up my board tomorrow.

NGL, i’m pretty excited to see if i can chuck both of the top boxes on, swap to mad wheels and see if i can squeeze out a 100km ride!

Ohhhh thats your evil plan. 100km sounds awesome. That means you’d only need one charge stop to break my 180km in one day record…

I hadn’t even considered that. I’m not sure i’m that keen

This is not the way…

Haha it is if you live in a van

I figured frankendick would get more use as frankenbox, and take up less room in the van.

Plus it doesn’t make sense for a guy who only modifies prebuilt boards to have a DIY

I support the tower of terror!
Though I will say the more swing weight north of the lean axis, the more wobbles are induced.
So if you can, try and mount them both on the deck and not a vertical stack.

Haha no room on the deck for that, gonna need to be tower. I think even with the extra packs and smaller wheels im probably gonna need to ride conservatively to hit 100, so wobbles not really a concern

Good deal, it was still plenty stable up to bout 65kmh.
Bump steer at speed is where it got hairy.
I was running heavier and higher than yours will end up, it’ll be fiiiiine.

Welcome to the triple parallel club, (e)Sk8tan approved!

Can you make a very skateboard like longboard with a single drive and use this as the pack for it?

I think we all know the answer to that

The more important question would be “would” I… and the answer would be hell no! Im just a prebuilt modifier now!

Title option

I feel like his current title is pretty synonymous with that already :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Let me guess… They were wet, and you wanted to dry them, but you forgot they have metal in them, and the microwave arced and started a fire lol

These wheels feel so soft. Ive never ridden the mads, only the OG boosted 105s, so I’m keen to see how they feel!

Paired them with the same size pulleys as what is on the 125s so its just a hot swap. Will lose some top speed but gain some torque, good to have options!

Nope… we were trying to make tyre warmers with makeshift sand bags and the microwave was taking forever so we just left it running.

Someone came over and said they heard a report that something was burning and wanted to know if there was a fire that needed to be put out and William said no everything is fine. As soon as they left William opened the microwave and a bunch of smoke poured out😂

Was also kinda funny when Tas came over with the charger I leant him saying it keeps turning off. Because he was getting power from the stooge tent which was downstream of us and we had a microwave just running continuously off the same line🤭

I was getting blamed for charging at 15A as i was trying to charge quickly so I could give @poastoast charger back haha

The outer bearing seats in these madwheels were suuuuuper tight.

Significant size difference.

Little bit of red and tacky made the install almost pleasurable.

Without even riding it I already know this is my preferred setup. Can’t wait to give it a hoon!!

Where’d you find that at? I know BN has the 44T, but i wouldnt mind a larger tooth count on the wheel side haha.
