This is where I’m at the moment. The first design (printed in white) was to squarish (ugly AF :joy:) and I started over with a more rounded/ organic design. I’m still strugling with the sizing of the whole thing. When it’s tested and I’m satisfied…will share it for others to use :v:

Here’s my old top enclosure made for two big Lipos, round edges and small compartments for on/off button and charger port.

Time to make the caster out of a 20 x 40 mm squared pipe. First step, glue a cutting/drilling template on the pipe.

Step two: Drill the holes:

Unfortunately there is to much flex. Feels soft and spongy.

That’s too bad… maybe design a solid casting for the mono swingarm?

How is the bearing block holding up?

Fill the tubing with JB weld

JK this is a motocross racing trick to prevent dents.

would trying my e-z removal side plate idea make sense with this prototype?

The mono swingarm (the current one) might work for a hubmotor setup where the wheel axle is shorter. So for a belt/chain drive system I have to design a two arm caster. How’s your design coming along? Did you find that 50t D-shaft wheel pulley?

The block is really solid, no need to change anything there.
