I tried to pull something heavier than usual recently. @ahrav @Jansen and @Serineh have all seen this tow rope of death. Can’t recommend it. Works ok for cars.

I mean even on prebuilts i would welcome people, we all skaters here no? I would love to be taught by a rider and would love to teach him/her diy. Or if anything breaks on their vehicle teach them what it can be.
We can say a lot about people on prebuilts, but they tend to know how to ride their machine better than we do

I have never successfully converted anyone to diy from commercial.
Definitely run into folks on their descent into diy, maybe pushed them a bit, but they were going to end up here anyway.

There was some badness. Between blocking an HOA security Prius in a cu-de-sac with my car and margaritas (join the HOA revolt!), I finally got first row tickets to drill press gone wrong.

@b264 any chance not have the FOC current decoupling disabled could cause over voltage faults?
I’ve had like 5 vesc faults since 2016 and 4 of them have been since using the variESC quad unity’s.
See fault at 13:25:12. When it happens I get timed out and can’t use throttle for a second or two.
I’ve since updated the foc decoupling value to “disabled”.

If one of your motors is lower kv than the others, it could be being driven by the other motors above it’s no load speed, in which case the back emf voltage produced by the motor above no load speed would be greater than the battery voltage.
