The tesa tape for automotive wiring harnesses is pretty good. The fuzzy stuff you can tear by hand:

And there is the smooth kind that is impossible to tear by hand. Apparently heat resistant up to 150c and good enough for Mercedez and Audi.

Someone asked the weight awhile back. 50lbs on the dot. Single battery, 4 motors, 4 unitys.

@ahrav the link for the gates poly chain carbon belts. They are 25$ For the 300 length belts. Not technically supposed to go on regular htd profile pulleys. We will see about that on Monday.

For reference, the gates 5m htd belts were only 7$

Damn ‘inclement weather’ in Ohio (don’t they just fly over that state?)

*we will see about that on Wednesday.

They sure ought to, POS state…

Our Cincinnati hub got 10" dumped on it, it was wild down there yesterday.

No excuses still.

Dude, the polychain belt is rigid AF.

Other two are basic htd and gt3.

Does it work with HTD5M tooth profile?

It should given typical Esk8 tolerances. This isn’t an aviation drive train, pipe down Gates, we know.

Rode first time at medium speeds. New tires, inner tubes, bushings, bearings, grip tape, and human shoes.

It is real hard to warm all up the unity supers. Not sure about speed, GPS is terrible here. I have a metr pro canbus magnum antenna w/ gps and SD drive on order.

45A average from battery over 9 mins is pretty okay.

@b264 I didn’t break out the polychain belts. I finished robs dumb board. It gets work once a year.

How good is tesa tape :green_heart::green_heart::green_heart:

I understand and appreciate the 4wd with super unities, you are doing god’s work here… but where the fuck are the other 4 motors Mike?

I think he said above the motors wasn’t where the bottleneck was. But I’m not scrolling up to see where

Working on figuring out the same myself. Great minds…

I finally swapped 18t to 20t.

That’s a 2.2:1 ratio now and it pulls

Max motor current 393.8A.
A reasonable effort… :astonished:

Felt like maximum effort, but I haven’t skated hard in several months. Im 15lbs fatter and older. Trying to ease my way back in.

Seem to “easing in” quite nicely. :joy:
