There are no real plans, just fits and spurts of building, then riding, than wanting more.
I am putting 8 motor on a board even if it is really stupid.

So the question is do you want 8 wheel? If you get a CNC plate and put 2 motor mounts on it and a pivot in the middle you could have 4 wheels per truck…and it should ride silky smooth
Could you maybe get a “sponsorship” from a vender that could supply four drive gears and 8 pinion gears?
Then make a custom gearbox case?
Just to avoid that silly belt.

Motors and a @Psychotiller mount that happens to work easy for layout and pre-helical gear testing phase.
