Also FYI: even though the postal service tracking says the parcel is in Lithuania, most likely it is not. It’s on the way. They do not update the tracking during transit.

Gear drive users: remember to use grease both in the gear drive and under the V-Ring! Running it without grease or with debris getting under it will pose a risk of the V-Ring melting.

Does the grease (synthetic from your shop) under the V Ring need refreshing sooner than the other parts?

If there’s grease under the cover near V-Ring then you don’t need to add extra. If you only spread some grease on the V-Ring with your finger, it will not last long.
When there’s grease under the cover, the grease gets moved around by the gear drive during function and it lubes the V-Ring.
You can use our grease or your own synthetic grease that can work with plastic parts.
