2026 Smallest build Challenge! Smol or micro build challenge thread!

Got an idea for a small build but not motivated enough to make it jell yet? Here’s your excuse!

Let’s see who can make something great but small. No kart tires, no impossible to lift 10kw + monsters. Just very useful and very fun small eskate you can mall grab and lift one handed - carve some downtown or park trail, maybe hit a pump track and hit a rail. If you can Coleman slide or ldp the thing then let’s go! Also colab on weight savings and decks, or just in general share some love of smaller builds that feel like more traditional skates. Gotta be fun to ride - no super micro impractical exercises in powered finger boards  two feet on the deck and no meme builds please.

Rules: well kinda.

  • No hard rules except small. No category except small. If it’s not in the spirit of smol it will just go to the vote vibe check.
  • Build will be judged by a boty style vote in November.
  • Any build can qualify as long as it gets or has a build thread. Doesn’t have to be started or built solely for this and complete builds are fine - as long as it gets a refresh or upgrade to stay in the spirit of the game but a good cleaning and fresh grip or something is fine, just gotta do a little something idk. Has to be done and rideable by November 2026
  • Self nominated, November 1st anyone can post up one build to be considered. Just reply with a pic, link to thread, and Contender
  • December we vote, podium gets a prize tbd.

Prize pool for podium as of feb 19:

Maybe a Custom battery at up to 12s2p (up to 26cells in any configuration)? Might not work internationally so second options are options.

I skin and or frit a deck of yours custom to your spec - one way shipping included

Gonna make some stickers, and gather up a nice pack of pnwesk8 stickers

This is such a great Idea! I can’t wait to see what parts everyone uses for their mini builds.

My “Mini Raptor” has honestly been one of my favorite projects so far. It’s such a blast to ride and still feels like a legit board.

Well, we all know Rafael is going to win with that amazing manual, but here is mine anyway!

Specs:

Deck: Loaded Coyote with Eboards Peru enclosure

Motors: Dual Flipsky 6454’s

Battery: 12s2p - Eve40pl

ESC: FocBox Unity

Wheels: Enertion 90mm

Baseplates: Enertion

Still working on it, but it’s shaping up to be an awesome ride.

@Pecos Are you going to be joining in on this? Can’t wait to see what you come up with, if so!

It’s only 1 motor and mount away from yours! :stuck_out_tongue:

Seen a few of these awesome things popping up!

Too cool!

Hell ya, this is awesome. How’s the power on this? I was thinking about doing something similar with mine, but I was worried the hubs wouldn’t have enough torque to move me around.

Such a simple setup sounds so nice!

Also, no grip tape?!

Not overpowered by any means but enough to toss you off balance if you’re not expecting it. It’s so cute and portable. The enclosure is metal too so I don’t worry much about it scraping. There is some grip tape on top!
