I don’t think his enclosure has the space for folding the capacitors over the ESCs… I wouldn’t even try. But yeah, you need some thin craft-foam around stuff so that it doesn’t rattle or slide around!
Do you have a double stack enclosure? I can’t fit shit on top of an 18650 battery in a hummie…
Well… its the small cables that make it look chaotic. The big cables from the battery to the Y splitter to the vescs to the motors… these cables are as neat as possible, they are just very very long and the space really isn’t sufficient to accomodate all of them. The little wires can indeed be tidied up but i dont really feel like that is necessary. Regarding folding the vescs, there might be space, but im not sure im comfortable with that It would either put stress on the cables or on the solder joints on the back of the vescs. And for the padding… well… ill try. I don’t know what to use at all. For now, ive used velcro to hold the bigger components down. The battery does need a bit of foam on the underside indeed and it wouldnt hurt to put some ontop as well i guess.
Single stack, 2mm (compressed) gasket and anti-vibration foam on the lid that takes half the gains of the gasket
A 5v thin cable pinching on the wrong thing is still enough to melt itself, then more cables around it, heatshrink and finally lay over a main phase wire for that big magic spark
