I upgraded a hub ebike with a Vesc, made a post about it.
It’s all pretty easy and most throttles work. A 12s battery is required to get more than 30km/h out of most ebike hubs though. I might have a kit available actually but I think that hub will go 35 max on 12s.

Maybe because of the same reason other hubs or direct drives are low KV.
