As title says, looking for (at least) 4 Nova tires. Im in EU and I realize most owners are probably stateside but I’d still be interested if shipping isn’t too crazy.
Through Mboard’s site shipping would be about the same cost as the tires + tubes

Thanks for the tip. Shipping is more or less the same though
Already found a home for them, sorry
I’m also interested in those tires. To bad there isn’t a source for them directly from China. Maybe we EU guys should start a group buy thread… Lets drum together more people.
My unsolicited opinion: the 7” are great but there is one in every 4 that is balanced like trash. If you can manage id buy 8 and pick the best 4. On the three sets iv seen (only one i got) there is one shit one that will take a half oz of weights to get close but still not balance perfectly. Qc isn’t amazing
I think it’s exclusive for Mboards.
Great tip. I actually want the 6 inch. But shipping ect is the same .
All of them balanced horribly. You have to balanced the heaviest part of the tire against the valve stem, this way you don’t have to use too much wheel weight.
Count me in.
7" and 6"
Is there some other square(ish) 7" you’d recommend instead?
I’m currently riding evolve tyres (tires?) But find myself sometimes loosing grip in tight corners, especially if its a bit dusty on the road
I think I’d be down as well, both for a set of 6 and 7", if someone had the energy to make this happen
I really like the novas. The 7” just seem to not be as consistent vs the 8” in my very small sample size. I really like the grip and just ordered another set to sit standby for when my kendas die. For me the balance is a nitpick and not disqualifying at all.
I haven’t tried much else that has a good squarer profile
The short list i know of:
xcell rs - wider flatter smaller diameter. There are two models that look good - regular and a wider one
OMW 7” AT tire - looks comparable to the nova but i haven’t seen or tried them and i am looking for 200mm so i might be sleeping on these
Meepo cyclone race tire - heard good things - looks nice and flat and wide but is 165mm
Nova tire - 6-7-8” compound seems good and i like the 8” for my use.
@amanuelamanuel Adding to @Pecos list:
Meepo Tubeless tire
Exway hot melt tire
Pretty much most of these tires will require you to buy a new set of wider rims. If you want some ride comfort, Meepo tires looks to be best since they have a rounder contact patch which allows you to run lower PSI. RS, Novas and Exway will pretty much require you to run them at minimum 30 PSI to keep the contact patch flat since they caved inward.
Thanks for your input dude and clarification regarding the Novas.
I agree, read good things about both Xcell rs and Meepo cyclone but I don’t really wanna sacrifice my top speed and gear drive clearance. I’ve wanted to try the Xcells for a really long time though. Hmm…
The OMW 7’s look pretty nice, and shipping is incredibly cheap! Might give these a go actually…
Thanks Michael!
Which (or how wide) rims would you recommend? Im currently using Moon Eros rims (53mm inner, lip to lip).
53mm should be a good compromise for the Meepo Cyclone race tire since they’re 65mm wide. If you wanna run the wider tubeless version (with tube) you will need to get 3d print widener for your hubs or buy wider hubs since they’re 72mm wide.
Thanks again for your help. Going wide is confusing haha.
I’m gonna hope someone reaches out with a set of 7" Novas, otherwise I might give the Cyclones or Xcell’s RS a go.
It’s the main problem when running these tires with a flat contact patch. You need the proper width hubs or they won’t fit right.
