Worn aluminum motor pulleys.

These pulleys are from a lacroix nazare. (not lonestar ). so 12s6p 20700b against 6389 motors maybe 800km use.

the teeth wore out to little blades. I’m guessing it’s just aluminum. but wondering if that seems normal.
and also dropping here for reference.

Yeah, get some steel ones if you don’t want to fork over for titanium.

Yeah aluminum motor pulleys will look like that eventually for sure, and I’ve seen plastic wheel pulleys look the same too.

Steel motor pulley over aluminum always.

You have to imagine how much friction you’re applying to each pulley. The belts we use aren’t the softest lol aluminum just isn’t up to this application. I’m surprised that’s the result though! Did you have a belt snap on you ?

No snapped belts. but I got this board used, so… who knows.

Yeah, this is exactly why a lot of us recommend steel (or titanium) motor pulleys and aluminum wheel pulleys.

Keep plastic, POM, ABS, nylon away from your wheel pulleys and keep aluminum away from your motor pulleys
