With all the Enertion hate going around...what VESC do you use?

Do you run the dual at 10s? What are your settings?

I have 2 Ollin 4.12 VESC but only been using 1 so far.

That sucks…

Flipsky 6.6, running 13s FOC

2x VESC 6 from Trampa on 12s4p FOC Bling! Bling!

2x VESC 6 that works flawlessly

1x VESC 4.12 from Enertion in one of the first batches from a few years back that also worked perfectly until I accidentally shorted it

1x VESC 4.12 from TB that arrived dead and never worked

1x FSESC 4.12 from flipsky that also worked fine but it’s too soon to tell

I should have added that my struggles with the Focbox are no doubt my own doing. Just hasn’t worked out well for this donkey.

Why selling the ESCapes, too big?
It’s still my preferred and most loved ESC. They did withstand all my noob abuse, really reliable motor controller. I used them with10S and now on 11S battery.

Two Maytech 4.12, didn’t got them working in FOC.

Focbox Unity which sensor diodes got kaputt after two rides, maybe fault of the R-Spec hubs?
The replacement Unity has a dying switch now.

Maker X Dual 4.2 one side died during motor detection, possibly caused by a shorted motor, they send me a replacement at shipping cost.

3 Vesc6+ (Perfection…)
1 Vesc6 (Was perfect, now it is just amazing)
1 Maker-x 4.12 cheap esc, waiting for postal customs to release…will see…

If it was two single ESCapes I might keep

It is two singles but on a conjoined heatsink. So kind of like a dual but really two singles.

I really prefer singles. Even in pairs.

How have they held up?

Been running them for almost a year
120 -80 motor
80 -20 battery with no issues at all

I have
2 unitys. 1 is fine(12s3p). 1 does weird shit 10s6p.with motors spinning at different speeds so I am about to retire it.
2 x Focboxes (10s6p) work great.
3 separate smaller builds with Flipsky dual 4.20 plus. All running 10s. All work fine.
A single fsec 6.6 plus. On a recent build.10s2p has been really smooth.
I am building a new build with the Flipsky dual 6.6 plus(10s5p).
I have another Flipsky dual 6.6 plus coming on Monday to replace the Unity that is freaking me out.

Dude. We really need to get together and stare at each other’s boards…

I’ve killed 2 focboxes, have 2 good focboxes in 3dservisas case been very reliable running 12s foc
1 maytech 100amp esc also flawless in 12s foc ( probably my favorite esc)
sold 2 maytech 4.12 50amp escs that ran 10s bldc without a hitch but no brakes in foc
Now use dual maytech 50amp in said build but haven’t been too impressed. Same no brakes issue in foc as the single 50amp escs
Considering getting the dual mini 6.6esc from flipsky for next build but will most likely buy another maytech 100amp esc paired with the one I already have in a build, which will give my spare focbox a proper home.
No escs left behind, must build homes for them

HMU if you decide to part with the ESCapes. They’re so good

I’ve only used a Unity and I’m really happy with it. Very excited for the TB VESC6 derivative in case… well you know.
