Gday all,
The flipsky dual esc has 8awg connected to power. Am I better off desoldering these wires and connecting some 10 or 12 awg? or keeping what’s there and using an xt90?
I’m struggling to fit everything in cover unless I use xt60. But xt60 isn’t the best for 8awg…
Any tips??
Cheers Simon

I personally would change it to 12AWG and XT60.
Remember to always use silicone-insulated finely stranded wire, sometimes called superworm.

Keep the 8AWG. With this trick you can get it to fit in the XT90.

I wouldn’t keep the 8AWG, but hot damn that is a nifty trick.

Silly question, but any tips how to remove the 8awg… Just lots of heat and pull?? A little worried that the pad might come off with it?

It should take almost no force; don’t rip the pad off.
Make sure you have a nice iron, temporarily turned up to like 850°F (454°C) and melt it quick until it releases, then let it cool.
Don’t pull it off with more than a minimal force, it will come off very easily when it melts.
