Wierd Shit :) Potential GoKart

So need some cash since the Aileron is still for sale.
This was my grandfather’s when he got sick in 2014, he was diagnosed with ALS-Charcot disease.
Only 5 months after did he see heaven. It was quite the struggle for many obvious reasons that I’m sure a lot of you have already experienced, but he wanted to die at home, if you now see the struggle.
His wish came true I’m happy to say.

Just to clarify, I’m not selling the ashes.

What i am selling is this well used mobility chair. We took advantage of it because i mean… what else?
It’s been through some heavy unethical DIY, it’s pulled tons of dirt and gravel with a trailer attachment, Been through temperatures of -20C to + 42C.
Now it’s time to part off its remains to a willing owner.

This is what it looked like

quite expensive i know, stupid market, selling overpriced shit to disabled people but anyway.

here is what I’m selling, everything in the photos.
I don’t really have a price for anything, so what we will do is if you want something from the thread, no pm-ing, everything shall be transparent. You tell me what you want for what price, it must be reasonable for what it is, and voila, it’s yours. First come is first serve btw, no bidding.

I’d guess though that all the contents would cost 100-150euro, the steering frame being the most expensive.
The motor has an issue, i don’t know what it is, so that can go for cheap, but it’s quite heavy.
The axle is 12mm. Tires are foam filled, not pneumatic. I also have two 12v lead-acid batteries but they are cheap anyway.

Damn this is just coming at the time I was really thinking about doing something like that
How is the transmission to the axle ? is there a reduction ?
I’m in France too, But I wanted to work on such project in the countryside, and with corona I’m not sure if i’ll be able too…

Shipping the frame to the US is going to cost for sure, I’m guessing in the 80 euro range

:rofl::rofl: Half french. I’m born in Sydney Australia, spent my first 10years there now 6 in France.

@Balta_6 cmon man :stuck_out_tongue: you want just the frame then? I don’t understand what a reduction is but you can move the steering wheels with your little finger. Let’s say 60euro for the Frame + shipping? Might be able to go lower if interested

Haha I would need the back wheel too :joy:
The motor must be link to the backwheel with some sort of gear, therefor is there a reduction, do you know the gear ratio

oh that type of reduction haha. i have no idea, i couldn’t find any info on it. I’ll share some links though. I know it’s a transaxle motor

I have the rear wheels too, but they are a bit abused though

@Balta_6 this is the only info i can find.
And yes, it actually costs that much :joy: As i said, anything for disabled people is super expensive. The charger of this is 200 euro, and it’s just a 4A charger.

So i took it apart to see how everything works, and i think i know why it’s so expensive

here is the motor, some really high kV inrunner Brushed DC motor it seems

That’s just a DC Brushed motor, not a brushless Inrunner. The differential looks really sweet
