Which Loaded Deck?

I’m looking to build a new DIY and want to use a deck by Loaded: https://i.loadedboards.com/136.htm

Other than the VanGuard and Motherboard which decks by Loaded would you recommend. My current thoughts are to go with an Icarus: https://i.loadedboards.com/136-3.htm

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Not the motherboard…it’s a pain to mount anything too. Icarus is good as long as you don’t intend to pass 30 mph

Also keep an eye on which models have readily available enclosures or it could be a PITA later.

I really like the look of the tesseracts. Doesn’t allow for a massive build but they look so damn good.

Speaking of which:

I have yet to see someone that wasn’t glad they went with the Icarus or Tan Tien in their recco flex range.

Yeah building on Loaded decks is definetly challenging, however if you pick the Icarus there is already enclosures custom designed for it:

Keep in mind though that if you chose any deck besides the Tesseract you will have to route out the top of the deck unless you want to have a long wire running across the under side of your board (that doesn’t look so good).

Yeah I am avoiding the Motherboard and Vanguard since my Boosted is a Vanguard deck. I think the Icarus https://i.loadedboards.com/136-3.htm or Tan-Tien https://i.loadedboards.com/136-28.htm are what I’m looking at.

oh that is awesome. Thanks for the heads up.

Personally I would go with a tan tien because its a larger board with less curve

That makes me happy knowing I’m making the right decision then

Loaded decks are nice but the only one I’d ever buy is the Vanguard or Kut-thaka for a really portable board. Otherwise check Subsonic decks, the Century 40 has an enclosure ready and it’s an amazing deck.

A great choice is the Landyachtz Switchblade 40" great for high speed and sweet to mount a long range/high power battery.

LY Evo builds are already a cult, they are praised all over the world

A deck that I don’t have an enclosure for, but always liked, is the Raine Darkside, looks sexy as hell

Choose an enclosure first and then the deck, will save you a headache in the future and your build will be finished in half of the time of a custom one

I actually think it’s a Discourse bot because he posted the Loaded links multiple times.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I was also considering Landyachtz. I already own a Rayne deck as well and really enjoy it. The reason why I don’t want a vanguard is because my boosted v2 is a vanguard so I want a different deck type/structure.
