Hot glue, foam sheets and silicone should satisfy you

It’s rubbery, but not too terribly strong. Can be kind of a pain to get every last bit off of a surface.
A good way to remove it is work a piece of dental floss under it and use that to saw through.

I just cut it all out with a dull-ish pocket knife. Dull minimizes the chances of cutting other things. That’s also why I prefer the clear version.
