It kind of reminds of me these cells, which turned out crap for eskate.
But the data on these QB cells so far look much better. I agree, looks too good to be true! There must be a catch. I haven’t figured it out yet though.

Do any discharge sheets show the temperatures after longer continuous runs? Like Mooch does.
Maybe thats the killer?

Unfortunately that reviewer doesn’t talk about temperatures. I would hope he would mention if they get crazy hot, but yeah it’s a big omission.

Even samsung 30t/40ts get warm under heavy load, I cant imagine these will outperform them thermally

Cell max discharge rating I believe is mostly a function of temperature.

Long story short it doesn’t perform as well as twice as many 18650? (30Q) considering multiple factors.
It is still a pretty solid price for capacity, volume and possibly discharge.
If you are willing to go off brand, why not try the liitokala 21700 4000mah? massive thread here. Consensus seems generally positive and unbelievable value for the price.

Liitokala are b-stock rewraps, so their 4Ah 21700 is probably Samsung 40t

They were around 3.90 per, SH around 90 usd

-Compression copper contacts rigged for testing. Short leads.
-dimensionally, 40t’s are in the expected can.
-11-13 ohms IR
-pulled a solid 3ah out of the cell at 5 and 10a constant load.
-arrived at 3.45v.
-not hot after discharge, have thermals, but I’m le tired

I wouldn’t, not too long ago they got blasted for selling fake 30qs that were sort of like a rewrapped 25r… But shittier 
There was also someone on the other forum complaining about fake 30qs from that store a day or two ago

Ya I don’t think I would ever buy cells from aliexpress, it’s to likely cells will be fake.
They’re b-stock cells, so some may be good but some are likely rejects out of QA.
