Ah per weight seems inline with the 30q
30q - 48g
26800- 116g
6217mAh at 20A, not bad, right?
If discharge and capacity line up with stated specs, maybe we can accept the spec sheet? The spec sheet says cycle life at 1C is pretty good, 500 cycles to 90%. Cycle life not specified for 3C discharge though.
The review measured IR at:
Measured initial DC IR at 6.8A in fully charged condition was 16±0.3mΩ
Which puts it right in line with 30Q. It’s almost like two 30Q cells for the price of one.
Honestly in esk8 peak discharges aren’t going to happen too often in a normal ride. So I feel like you can just expect the average degradation.
Maybe someone who actually has ride data logs can correct me on average amp draws, and weather it is above 1C for their cells.
If that graph is true its alot better than I thought it would be. I want bigger cells for new builds, 21700 limits my choices to pretty much samsung 30t/40t, but I want more mah than the 40t, with the IR of the 30t…
One day
It kind of reminds of me these cells, which turned out crap for eskate.
But the data on these QB cells so far look much better. I agree, looks too good to be true! There must be a catch. I haven’t figured it out yet though.
Do any discharge sheets show the temperatures after longer continuous runs? Like Mooch does.
Maybe thats the killer?
Unfortunately that reviewer doesn’t talk about temperatures. I would hope he would mention if they get crazy hot, but yeah it’s a big omission.
Thermal imaging videos of batteries are pretty cool.
Even samsung 30t/40ts get warm under heavy load, I cant imagine these will outperform them thermally
Cell max discharge rating I believe is mostly a function of temperature.
Long story short it doesn’t perform as well as twice as many 18650? (30Q) considering multiple factors.
It is still a pretty solid price for capacity, volume and possibly discharge.
If you are willing to go off brand, why not try the liitokala 21700 4000mah? massive thread here. Consensus seems generally positive and unbelievable value for the price.
Liitokala are b-stock rewraps, so their 4Ah 21700 is probably Samsung 40t
oh snap. no way! :o
How much fo dis?
They were around 3.90 per, SH around 90 usd
-Compression copper contacts rigged for testing. Short leads.
-dimensionally, 40t’s are in the expected can.
-11-13 ohms IR
-pulled a solid 3ah out of the cell at 5 and 10a constant load.
-arrived at 3.45v.
-not hot after discharge, have thermals, but I’m le tired
Sorry, I have a childs multimeter
Thanks for testing a delivered cell and putting up the numbers. Good info
Has someone ever ordered cells from this vendor?
