What are some good winter riding gloves?

So guys I fall a lot. I know that’s probably not a good thing but each fall makes me a better rider and teaches me something new and improves my riding.

It’s important that to wear good gear when I ride. This does not just apply to me but to esk8rs in general, prevention is better than cure, eh?

The need of esk8 to handle a remote while riding makes it a niche that companies like Flatland3D have tried to address. However their product has come short for my needs, due to stitching coming loose after a single fall.

I seek your help and need your opinions and experiences with good winter gloves that have palm protection and are flexible enough to handle a remote.

Here’s a reference of my palms for what I’m trying to avoid

They came out with the half finger glove that seems, at least from the pictures, to be more durable and you can buy the inner glove later but I need something right now lol

Thumb controlled , wand.

I have been using the new fingerless flatlands with this liner under it. https://smile.amazon.com/Burton-Womens-Quick-Drying-Powerstretch/dp/B07NVWZKH8

Probably only good for 40f degrees

I would prefer full glove anyways… Especially in the winter

I mainly use the mini with the trigger.

I just ordered heated gloves to wear under wrist guards. But have not actually tried them yet.

What wrist guards are you using?

I got this and dropped a $100 but they don’t have palm abrasive protection

I like the idea of using flatland with inner liner.

Nice. I got a pair of klim gloves as well. I haven’t skated with them though.

I also have the wand and this works just fine with it too.

What are those??!!!

Normal slide gloves with the puck cut in half with a hacksaw.
This model is the TSG Cuesta but you can do the same with any DH slide glove instead of messing with the self destructing properties and half ass protection of the flatlands.

I’m using Fox Rangers because they have rubber tips on the thumbs and the index/pointer and middle finger. Also has phone screen contact stitching on the thumbs and index/pointer fingers.

Under that I have some compression glove liners.

Over the gloves themselves I use the Ennui palm sliders

For people using a mini can your finger still fit in the throttle space when you are wearing thicker gloves?

The total comes out to be about the same eh? It’s pretty modular but I imagine must be quite inconvenient if you have to take your gloves on and off multiple times.

Cost wasn’t an issue for me really but as as you said yes I was going for modularity. Mainly I didn’t want to have very little contact with my remote. Before this I was using really thick gloves and I personally found that more annoying honestly.

When it’s not as cold I don’t wear the liner, when it’s summer I wear the fingerless version of the Fox glove instead.

Cost wise though I think @taz ‘s solution is going to be the best. I actually thought about doing the same.
