Sad truth. Like 90% of the vendor/members here closed up shop. Crashes took a good chunk of folks out too. Prebuilts have stepped up a lot so less people are driven here to upgrade their boards. Always good to see a familiar pfp!

Or maybe just cutting the fat? Don’t get me wrong, i am a total esk8 simp and absolutely drinking the koolaid but it’s not for everyone. Skill needed is higher than any other pev and it’s not as plug and play because it’s maintenance heavy… but i love it anyway like an abusive relationship, hurt me daddy i want sweet carves please. Turns and deep diving corners - nothing fills that gap. Can’t get it anywhere else so maybe all 50 of us 
just accept that it won’t catch on and do it for the love without guilt? Doesn’t need justification, just carve and vibe and maybe make something cool

Eucs are very dangerous, bikes are too big, esk8 is the future

You can’t just pull up and walk into a store easily with any other PEV besides a small and light esk8. Also, any electrical or mechanical failure on a funwheel (or EUC) is nearly guaranteed streetface. EUCs are too hard to carry around. Funwheels are awkward and difficult to carry. Ebikes are huge. Scooters are hard to carry unless folded, and even if you spend the effort to fold and unfold them, they are more difficult. I can’t easily walk through a subway turnstile carrying a folded scooter. Small, short, and lightweight esk8s can have a transportation role.

Electric roller skates that had a “shoe mode” would give small esk8 a competitor in this space if the shoes were usable enough to be worn all day.
