I think I would have to remove top and bottom side flanges, weather strip it and bracket it down from the enclosure sidewall to the board. Alternatively I could cut a 2" slice or so out of the center portion and re-bond it with some fiberglass mesh and ABS cement. I think the latter would be a more aesthetic result.
