Hi. A way to retroactively change your gear ratio and wheel size on logs would be awesome. It would useful for when you change out wheels and forget to update your drive config.
Thanks!
So far I was able to get this sensor https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006458543396.html working but I had to install custom firmware for it GitHub - pvvx/THB2: Custom firmware for Tuya devices on the PHY622x2 chipset. It was not hard, but I am currently looking for easier solution to recommend.
Sorry about that. You can try to restore it from backup.
Working on support for separate time format setting (12h, 24h), should be out soon (all the apps need some time to get updated)
How do I do this? Is there some RTFM I can go do?
Woohoo update day is the best day!
I donât know which backup to select, and will restoring a backup erase the kilometers Iâve rode since the update erased my parts list?
Are the icons still rectangular or did the update fix it as well?
Hmm, thatâs right, restoring backup will also restore your ridden kilometers. What you can do is to open Backup screen in Voyage Connect and then scroll down and view some backups just by clicking on them. You should see something like this:
Oh shoot I forgot to post the screenshot of that. Yes the update made the icons all match the rest of WearOS and stock Android.
I have two small requests, if possible. These are mainly requested for the Metr app ( in my case since thatâs what i use personally), but could obviously be useful for the Voyage app as well if they donât already exist.
1: A force reconnect button.
I sometimes have issues getting a proper connection. For example, Metr says itâs connected, but no stats or real-time data show or work. Killing the app or going into the metr settings and hitting âSearchâ for new devices, then tapping on my Metr, forces it to reconnect. A simple âForce Reconnectâ button would be wonderful.
2: An exit/close button.
This is probably phone-specific, but when Iâve finished riding, I open my ârecent appsâ and swipe up to dismiss Metr, but it wonât actually close. This means the app is still open and the Metr notification still shows. In my case, I have to navigate to the system settings, look for the Metr app and press âForce Closeâ for it to actually close.
Edit: i just tried to recreate issue 2 and this time it worked, even though it didnât a few minutes earlier.
Maybe the difference being that the first time i was connected to the board earlier and the second time it was a fresh app start.
I have to say that the âforce reconnectâ would work for Voyage app as well. Sometimes i open Voayge wait couple seconds, it doesnt connect, i kill the app, open Voayge again and it connects. Go figureâŚnot sure what happens (Android).
I like this, but with voyage I have the issue that if I open the app, everything is fine as far as connecting goes, but once I leave the app for any reason and then return, itâs just a blank screen and the app needs to be removed from RAM (swiped away) and restarted.
Not sure what the solution is but it would be great to be able to return to the app. Maybe allow it to run in background like metr.
i do have that with the metr app from time to time.
Update on issues:
Tried to update my Minnie just now and getting this, along with an ANR
Now Iâm unable to use the Minnie it seems. Just says to check logs, which I donât understand. It wonât even factory reset.
Is there an ETA on Minnie + GPS (PCB) that is currently out of stock? Thanks.
Guys, thankâs a lot for all the suggestions! My availability will be limited this week and next week due to travelling. But will try to address everything related to the apps after I am back!
@tech.shit none of the apps can connect? Voyage Connect / Metr?
We still have some left, updated inventory now!
I ride every single day, so the more days that go by, the further from correct data I veer
Edit: not sure what happened in the passed 48h but it seems to be working now with Voyage
Figured out the fix: before restoring you need to add entries in the parts list equal to or greater than the number of parts in the backup. Then restore the backup. I then went and added the Km rode since the parts list deletion. Hopefully this doesnât screw up the cloud data.
