Hi I have a question about Minnie. Previously,I had connected 2 vesc in master/slave configuration through CAN. Vesc tool detected them correctly. Then I put Minnie in thle middle using the 2 CAN plug and then only the VESC master is detected. I had the idea that the CAN plug on Minnie was a simple plug multiplexer. Did I miss something ? How must I wire 2 vesc in master/slave config with Minnie please ? thanks for help

Could you please send pics of how everything is wired up?

Does the setup still work? Do both motors spin?

Wiring up is straightforward. You connect both VESC CAN ports to the Minnie. The 5V and GND pins need to be wired up to at least one VESC (for Minnie to have a power source). For the second VESC it’s enough to only connect CANH and CANL (but connecting everything is also fine).

Guys - about my GPS signal issue (using Minnie inside Proto carbon fiber enclosure).

I am thinking about drilling enclosure on the the side and puting a oil visor (acrylic) and fit GPS module in the front. Do you guys think this is enough for GPS signal?

Hard to tell. The sky view will still be partially blocked by the deck. It will definitely be better than inside the enclosure. You won’t know whether it’s good enough until you have tested it though. You will very likely get at least some GPS signal but the number of visible satellites may be limited (location precision hindered) and getting the location fix may take extra time.

In general, you want to have as little sky view blocking as possible. Less blocking => more better.

I see - any example of people drilling the deck and putting the GPS module outside? I am not visualizing how this would be without compromising aesthetics of the Proto.

Can i attach some sort of anthena onto GPS. That way it should be more simpler to hide it in the griptape or something.

Here’s what I had before Megan:

Nicelly done…i think you should sell this anti-sink as well to be bought with Minnie. Just an idea

I pulled mine outside the enclosure but still under the deck. it helped. …

Here is another example:

Maybe if you can drill a hole in the deck, then put a new grip tape (or just a patch) on top, it can look decent.

@tuckjohn, is that a screen area extender?

Not quite. I’ll be sharing more after I get the system more functional😉

Is the way to remove records from a Megan to format the filesystem?

I tried that, but get this error, and the records are still there

This one has 430 records that I’d rather not delete manually😂

Those errors you can ignore. It’s just a failure to write a file while the filesystem is being formatted. (We should do something about that not to confuse people.)

All records are deleted from Megan after uploading to cloud. So there are no records ON the Megan. If you want to delete the records from the Cloud go to

https://cloud.voyagesystems.eu/ridelogs/

Then select the records to be deleted (the “invert selection” button in the top-right corner is handy) and click on “DELETE SELECTED”. You may want to increase the number of records per page first. It’s unfortunately currently not possible to select ALL records (including ones not displayed on the current page).

Why do you want to delete the records though? Note that if you are about to pass the Megan to another person and you want to delete the records for privacy reasons, you don’t need to do that. We have taken care of that. The records are linked to your account and protected by your login credentials. No other user will be able to see them even if they have your Megan.

Hey guys, I have a favor to ask. I would like to make some overview vids for our Megan and Minnie and I’m looking for footage of them in use, especially on vehicles other than electric skateboards, such as scooters, e-bikes, e-foils, etc (yeah, I know, a weird thing to ask on an esk8 forum but well, here I am).

I’m specifically looking for footage showing:

  • realtime data while riding
    • Megan display close-up
    • phone close-up (for Minnie)

ezgif-67f41316dbb351

  • riding with Megan installed
    • not necessarily a close-up shot as long as Megan is clearly visible

Looking for very short sequences (~5 secs), preferably in a decent quality (but of course beggars can’t be choosers).

We’ll of course provide full credits to the owners, linking any preferred social media accounts or whatever. Thanks!
