I retest with my phone hotspot and firmware upgrade worked. Default -75dBm seems to high. I now setup to -85dBm.
Is it possible to log 2 VESC at a time, connected each other through CAN bus and Minnie connected on CAN bus too ?
yup, it’ll give you combined wh/mi and temps on each esc and motor. you do have to set it to 4 motors in the voyage app
Super thanks ! I will have only 1 motor per vesc. So 2 Vesc and 2 motors. Why you say 4 motors please ?
Will you have a separate trace for each motor and wh/km ?
Ash probably thought you had 4 motors. If you have 2, set it to 2.
You will then get per-motor data on the overview screen as well as in the ride log.
ahh you’re talking about running singles over can like the solos. yeah nothing different in setup.
yup

excellent so cool ! thanks for answer !
Have you shared a 3D file of the Megan anywhere(not just the baseplate)?
I’m currently designing a part that’s going to live next to my Megan, and I’d like to be able to mirror the geometry so it meshes with it well.
No, that one is not public, sorry.
Fair enough. Thanks for the response
@rpasichnyk Are the Apple Watch and Garmin Watch pairing feature officially implemented? I see the buttons for them in the Metr app.
Yes, since long time. Support for Garmin and Apple Watch is there in the Metr app, but we are working on new standalone watch apps (Voyage Connect), that do not require phone.
Ah thanks. I think I confused the two different functionalities.
Metr app can broadcast to Garmin and Apple Watch (requires smartphone), and this has been functional.
Voyage Connect app for the watches will directly connect to the watches without smartphone, and under development.
Clarification: any reason that the end users should use one app vs the other? Is there any meaningful differences? I have a Megan and a Minnie, not the older generation devices.
i only use the metr app when i need to change vesc settings or look at the real-time screens for split readings. everything else, i use the voyage app
A general recommendation is to use Voyage Connect. We put almost all the effort here, it will get new features, faster bug fixes, better support for new devices.
If you are wondering, you most likely want to try out Voyage Connect. Metr app will still be around, but it won’t get any new features, only bug fixes. But there is a ton of functionality already, which is not present in Voyage Connect. For example:
- Modes (will be coming to Voyage Connect)
- Expert (quick search / filter / change any imaginable VESC setting)
- VESC config diff history
- Discharger (to discharge your battery before storage using
foc_openloop
command) - Announcements (audio text-to-speech realtime data)
- Realtime screen is highly customizable

Voyage Connect on Garmin Watches is now available:
https://apps.garmin.com/apps/81b452c1-4e99-4428-86fb-d24d5e1a3107
As well as on Apple Watch (update to Voyage Connect v0.8.2 on App Store):
To try it out, update Megan or Minnie to the latest Beta firmware v0.21.2
Any interest in support it on android smartwatches? (samsung specifically)
When will the pixel watch app be made though? Can it have the battery bar be curved around the edge of the display?
