Vesc 6 overcurrent fault

Literally just finished my print and testing now

Having a weird problem with the switch that I am looking into

Could that be the problem sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt

So resoldered the connection on the switch and now that works fine

Tried doing foc on the motors and I get this error

WIll try the other motor
Think the problem there might be because of the bullets

Then went to fault log and this

Can anyone shed some light?

Get the same fault on the other motor

Will check all connections and try again

What BMS is this? My D596 started cutting me out, so I bypassed discharge on it, and it fixed it. Sounds like something similar to what is happening to you. When I would reach like 15amps draw while standing on the board the bms would just shut the battery off…not sure why it would read as a fault in vesc too tho. Does vesc tool detect this kind of stuff?

@tinp123 could you remind me

It is a big bestech one that’s all I can remember
Will try finding out

so sorry bud that this is more frustrating than it should be

i still think of visual of your phase wiring would be useful so we can identify any obvious issues

Does it look like this?

Yeah here are the phase wires

The right motor phase seem fine not sure about the left

Do you need to see under the electrical tape

Yeah that’s the guy

Yeah your solution is to bypass that discharge and the crappy antispark that is internal to this bms.

@Skyart yes big bestech d596 is inside.
@Halbj613 as far as I remember, something happened with your switch and you got new from someone?
I would first check phase wires. remove all heatshrinks, inspect every soldered bullet.
if you bypass bms, you will lose on/off button.

This is true, he will need a loopkey at that point

@Halbj613 if you still have shitty meepo battery or any other battery try to do motor detection with that battery. at least we could know if it’s battery/bms or vesc/motors

I had a problem similar to this and it ended up being the solder joints of the bullet connectors. I just re-soldered them all and never had an issue since.

WHen you ask like that of course

Stripping them now

I burnt one switch at first and replaced it
It has worked ok for like 500miles since then

Hopefully can keep the bms and not have to scrap it

All bullets have there original solder from flipsky And trampa

Shrink wrap is in slightly tatty condition and I will only have a spare battery once @skyart battery comes to me.
(Should be a week or two)

Wait, you’re getting a battery shipped from cali? Aren’t that huge shipping costs?

Maybe just heat the bullet up again to let the solder re-flow. Check if there’s enough solder inside.

Getting my battery shipped from Cali within a deck so shipping ended up being like $100 for the deck + battery plus 2 sets of wheels

Will try to resoldering though I doubt that is the problem
