Update
All Vendor product discussions will now carry the SERIOUS tag.
The intent is for users and vendors to have a spot to freely discuss products. The legacy content will remain intact in each topic but expectation is to respect tag from this point forward.
Discussions surrounding vendor engagement and trustworthiness are to be debated in the new “Vendor Issues” sub category. If there is a concern about vendor business practices it is acceptable to post a reference to the discussion in the Trusted Vendor topic.
This policy will afford the community to alert others to a potential issue and compartmentalize the discussion.
e.g a user in the SpaceX Esk8 topic has an issue. Instead of voicing it at length in the SpaceX’s product thread, they put a single “thought added to Trusted Vendor topic or new Vendor Issues Category, and then go elaborate in the other destination.”
The moderation of what is considered on or off topic will be handled through the use of flags.
