(v)ESC Unkown error : a METR new update issue?

I’ve recently had a weird issue with two different builds that have FESC 6.6 dual.

I do not feel any problem while riding.

But at the end of the ride, METR app reports many “Unknown error” associated with various numbers and incredibly high currents.

Unfortunately, I have automatic updates on my phone and I wonder if it’s not related to a new version of METR.

What firmware version do all the ESCs have? What version is metr? Which metr hardware do you have?

Thanks for heads up, this is a bug in the app due to lack of testing, main development effort is now for Voyage Systems Megan and Minnie, so I didn’t notice in time. I am working on this with high priority and will try to do better with testing (include Metr Pro), to make sure stuff does not break.

This is the kind of response we should get from all suppliers when there is an issue. Sadly that’s not the case.

Hats off to you @rpasichnyk :+1:

Did SKP buy out METR? The modules aren’t available for purchase anymore and seem to only be available if you buy one his escs that has it integrated somehow… I’ve wondered about this for about a year now.

Short answer: No.

Long answer:
The whole metr project was started and developed by @rpasichnyk.

Separately, @Skyart teamed up with @shaman (Creator of the Lfoc and Cfoc)and @rpasichnyk to create the SKP Solo which has a built in metr module.

Shortly after the release of the SKP solo, @rpasichnyk and @janpom (Creator of the DaVega) formed voyage systems at which point the DaVega and METR were both discontinued in favor of their further developed, new offerings.
