This place has kart rims in much narrower widths, 3.25”, 4” and 4.5”. Think there’s value in that, particularly for the case of using 4.2”-4.5” rain tires? A closer matched rim could permit lower pressures, or affect the wear pattern.
They arrive today. Anyone in the NYC area wanna come over and mess around with these after I get out of work? @Flyboy ?
Hell yeah, I’ll let you know when
It’s not aged enough yet for a really full flavor profile, but it has a solid body and texture, so it’ll be a real treat in about 3 years.

Nice work. These look great.
Are these going through testing or are they shipped/ready-to-ship?
They’re shipping as soon as @MacKeeper28 confirms all the fitment stuff. If he replies yes now I can start shipping today. Most are already packed ready to go.
So far, the nylock pockets are tight, but you can pull the nuts into their pockets using the bolts. Getting them out is a later problem ![]()
They fit and center well onto my particular wheels even without centering rings, though I haven’t spun them up. The holes look like they line up for MBS pattern, and I’ve got hardware coming tomorrow to confirm for sure
You using standard McMaster nuts? I’ve found various nylock nuts to have inconsistent ODs, want to make sure I get/have the right ones
I did use McMaster 1/4-28 nuts to attach the wheels.

I plan to use Amazon M6 nuts to attach the gears for my specific case, but most folks I’d imagine would use the threaded MBS holes
