There’s a difference between what you put on a product or a product’s website.
and just words coming out of someone’s mouth when talking to a community.
Especially when everyone in the community calls them vesc’s regardless of who makes them.
Sure Trampa is official TM vesc but there is actually no confusion, frank has told everyone enough times to make sure we all know.
I’m already over it, I already told you and Ben I accept it. Would have been nice to have a polite email from Ben first and I would have removed the video myself but that didnt happen and here we are. And just to clarify, he didnt email me, he replied to my email to him after the fact (and CC’d you on the reply - read into that how you want folks)
You will NEVER speak for or represent Ben here, so shut up trying to do that. I would never trust a word that comes out of your mouth Frank.
You are a bad actor Frank, and this community is disgusted with your actions over many years.
I know a guy that calls them ‘esh’
You keep ignoring the question on Velcro? I really think people would actually read what you write if you were transparent on something you are clearly avoiding.
Your avoidance on this is undermining BVs position with his trademark and making you look like a fool. Not only that, but to everyone who doesn’t care that much (myself included), you’re just souring the name of Trampa big time…
Drunk slurrring guy?
He’s italian. I’m usually the drunk slurring guy
You got message Lee and you stated you will give a f… about it. What choice do you leave us? It is not our duty to beg for acceptance Lee, send 50 nice emails a week etc. Both BV and me are very serious about what we do. We do not apply for a 30K+ trademark and invest time and effort into it for you to disrespect it. If an outfit takes that burden, it does it for good reasons.
You are treating this like it was a video on a business’s website selling a product.
This is a YouTube video. This should be covered by fair use. He said a word. This is ridiculous.
Right now this is dirty laundry in public.
It’s serving no good to anybody to continue this argument here.
Decent entertainment tho.
As I told you earlier - YOU sent me a message that Ben and another motor controller developer were not happy with my stormcore video. I contacted the other developer and he told me he had told you no such thing. You are a liar and cant be trusted.
YOU DO NOT SPEAK FOR BEN. I’m not sure how many times we have to say that. If Ben had of emailed me after the Stormcore video then it would have been different, instead you’ve fed Ben a line that I’m trying to damage his brand and he swallowed it and together you both went for a maximum damage instead of the polite email.
I’m over it anyways. Sooner or later the project will get hard forked and someone who cares will look after the community fork, it’s just waiting to happen
I don’t know about you but I’m rock hard. This is great.
To bad there’s only two mods to keep the peace and clean up this ” serious ” thread lol
I guess if someone is as clever as Benjamin and has motor control expertise, he would probably rather start his own project and code his own software.
Maybe that’s exactly what needs to happen. A controller that doeant have a confusing trademark shared with a product, a project that doesnt have your tentacles wrapped round it. One that is managed correctly by someone who is actually involved in our community.
Maybe that’s exactly what we need Frank.
Just make sure that project has TM. Otherwise it will get screwed over.
I am imagining the world where you came up with a name for your ESC – and didn’t reuse the name from the OS software project that drives it.
“Screwed over” isn’t what comes to mind. I’m picturing a wholly undiluted Trampa brand, easily distinguishable from any others.
Sure, just throw another 30K into another TM. Our pockets are full, we don’t know what to do with our money. And we also have plenty of time to care about another TM.
The project was underfunded and everyone worked 140%. It’s a given horse and sure people would like the horse to be different to what they got. It’s just simply unrealistic.
