Trampa Trademark & VESC Tool Discussions (serious)

Frank, I know 13yr olds who make Java plugins/programs
that consists of more lines than VESC contains. These kids/young adults post these
plugins/programs for free in most cases and don’t bitch about the hours put into their baby.
They are open to comments, fixing issues and adding features.

This isn’t even your code, Yet you act as if you spent time to make the code.
You are not the developer, So please don’t speak for him. Its rude as hell and makes you both look bad.
I would hate a dude who wants to speak for me like my daddy and put words in my mouth.

If it was my code, Id be pretty unhappy with my trademark holder for making this a consistent issue with
the community this seems to be mainly made for.

Im mean… pretty sad when the trademark holder is destroying the FW creators name.
If you dont see thats what your doing, thats whats happening.

Grow with us or grow against us.

I didn’t really think you could make yourself look like a bigger dick. But reporting Lee’s YouTube video… just wow dude.
You really are a sad petty man.
It’s amazing how one person can make you avoid quality products.
Good thing esk8 just keeps growing, it makes buying parts with your morals much easier.

Can the android VESC tool still connect via Bluetooth to the UBOX ESC ?

Was working just right a few days ago

I mean you can, but there will be a pop that warns you are in violation of trademarks.
See one is VESC and the other is a ESC. You can use your VESC to program a VESC but
using a VESC to program a ESC… Idk… this is an area I wouldn’t want to walk. XD

See as soon as you program your ESC with VESC and start calling it by its programing you will get in trouble by Frank. You don’t want to get Frank angry, He will strike you down like a peasant.

Brutal man. Just brutal. All that comes to mind is patent trolling at this point. More and more reasons to be vocal against you as I am with potty.

I will say… this latest play appears to be a critical error tho. YouTube’s system can be abused in many directions frank…

Frank didn’t buy a trademark to have someone speak for him.
He bought the trademark to prevent someone from speaking… #conspiracy

Edit:
I feel the convo’s are like this.
Ben: Frank the community wants dual support etc.
Frank: No Ben the others will use that against us.
Ben: I made this for the community though.
Frank: No, its my trademark and I will not have it used in a way that can benefit the competition.
Ben: The community is not competition.
Frank: Yes they are and they are all out to destroy what I own!
Ben: I though I wrote the code?
Frank: The code is nothing with out the name, I own VESC not stop speaking and start typing!
You still have 100 more hours to meet this weeks quota!

Its just to be an example of hoe Ben seems to be silenced but when he speaks its always good mannered. Yet all we here is Frank telling us what and how Ben feels.

The point is just it seems he is pulling more strings than he should be.

Understanding physics, electrical engineering and then writing code is much different from copypasta scripts. Please don’t trivialize intelligence and hard work.

Please dont assume you know these developers and what other projects they are involved in.
Thanks!

There is a reason you can find hundreds of 13 year old easily doing that and you only find only a handful masters and PhD students designing and coding motor controllers. Any guesses why?

It pointless… I walk.

Because it’s more profitable to make IoT trinkets, and engineers capable of designing motor controllers are working for companies like Linear Labs and Anduril.

Machine Learning and IoT edge computing is the craze right now, that’s why a lot of CS and EE are investing their time in those fields.

Motor control is literally off-the-shelf. Open up the Tesla Model 3 inverter and they are running TI’s Instaspin solution.

The hardest part of making a controller is not the “motor control” part, it’s user interface and communication interface part.
Just look at Common Industrial Protocol and you’ll see what I mean.

Precisely. Working on something that requires so much time to understand, getting everything right and then sharing the code for everyone to use is just too generous.

And people reward generosity by shitting on your work and also selling copies in the name that you gave your product. The only request that the products be named differently is just not acceptable: Vedder a very bad man; a corporate shill etc.

I guess we people are just programmed to be ungrateful bastards and will swallow your arm if you offer them something to eat.
