Here is one of my works in progress. I plan to upgrade components as they become available but for now I’ve taken the best from @torqueboards and put it in one package.
The deck is the TB40. It’s really solid and had plenty of space for all the components. The black and carbon deck looks great with the blue CNC trucks and blue wheels.
The 6380s fit with a millimeter gap. They are connected to some beta Torque 6 ESCs that need a lot of miles put on them asap. I’ve connected a Metr Pro for logging and some cheap remote that I had laying around so I could ride right away. It’s all configured and ready to go but it’s been raining for two days. Soooooon it’ll go for a maiden voyage.
This is powered by a 12s4p 30Q battery built on PCB that I imagine will be available sometime soon? This was so nice to work with and really made the assembly process easy. Many thanks to @DerelictRobot for the hand-me-down spot welder!
Blue and black is one of my favorites too, that’s what I originally went for on my board but TB didn’t have blue trucks and mounts back then lol. Tried to get a hummie… Well everyone knows how that worked out a while ago.
TB deck is probably my next purchase after a battery.
Thanks everyone! I’m surprised no one giving me shit for leaving rubber band as a temporary wire tie and being too lazy to paint/sharpie in the rear truck mounting area. Yall going easy on me?
The “enclosure” has about 70mm clearance and the rear truck being the lowest is about 35mm in the center
This. For sure would be so cool. Like bright white LEDs behind the wheels. Seems like a good application for 3d printing something, maybe a ring of LEDs attached to the hanger pointing at the wheels?
