Thank you very much!
Originally went for plus 40mph on everything. Now I gear towards accelerating hard up hill. Gravity on the way down if I’m feeling safe or flat stick if I still want that feeling that going over 40 gives you once you stop.
You know that silent prayer that we all do when we are still alive after a silly session.
My Evo used to do over 40 but now on the flat it tops at 38 odd (60km/h). 15/44 110s 12s4p
Love both but given the choice its torque for me all day long.
Can someone with a 2wd 90kv TBDD with the TB110s comment on the torque please? I would like a TBDD and shopping used means less options… I just want to know if I can rely on the 90kvs to get my 180 fully geared self up a hill.
I dont need the 45 mph though, I would probably just limit my speed to 30mph anyways.
This Onewheel is really getting me ready for more power.
Dual 6374 is probably going to blow my socks off
I’ll get a few motor pulley sizes to mess around with. Also wheel sizes will be fun to play with. I’ll swap between urithane and the TB 190 depending on the ride.
Is there a way for me to play around with this? If not could you show me a 10s, 75Kv, 2wd TB DD w/ 110’s. I know it’s such a small thing to change thats why I ask… Thanks!
^ if the gear ratio number is greater than 1, a smaller tire is optimum-- for example if it’s 1.06 then 110mm / 1.06 = 103mm optimal
if the gear ratio number is less than 1, a larger tire is optimum-- for example if it’s 0.93 then 110mm / 0.93 = 118.2mm optimal
Does anyone know the source of this graph? @professor_shartsis
Would like to plug in 13S, 170Kv, 2WD, 110" please.

Thank you, I was fishing to see if anyone else knows the source. Maybe there is an alternative calculator that is similar?
he uses a custom 10th dimension sheet/script he wrote himself. I doubt anyone can make graphs as nice as these…
GlitterSpitter! MY friend! I need both in my like! haha!
Wow! 10th dimension esk8 analysis is a whole new level! IntereSt(R)ing theory! ![]()
Between torque and speed? I want

Hello Rick! Yes your speed proclivities are an unquenched thirst!
@wandagoner maybe close this? i don’t know what i was thinking when i made this thread with all my then noob knowledge… it’s a disaster this thread and what i wrote is pretty crap and other threads explain it better

ha i feel ya but we only close sale thread and total disasters. we’ll just let this one fade into the scenery
but this one has the good title.
Well if you want both then go low kV motors on a 20S setup, geared for the speed you want on your final drive train. I think mostly the limits so far have been the Amp output on Li-Ion battery packs.
Wow how times change. Reread the thread… Who uses 10s anymore lmao.
So the gearing examples are a bit whack now.
But the summary stays the same, to have best of both worlds, you need big motors and a high voltage battery nowdays. This adds a lot of weight though and your board will exceed 25kg very quickly.
And damn I’ve been on this forum for almost 3 years… ![]()
