Flipsky VX2
Bergs with moon pulleys
Here are a few pictures,
I started with the battery, as I knew that would probbaly take longest for this build, I had 2 options, make the cutout a bit larger and fit a 12s4p 21700 or do 18650 12s4p…could also fit 12s3p 21700 with spacers.
Decided on the spacer route 12s3p p42a.
I think this was a good choice because it allows for some room between each cell and pgroup. Also the spacer honeycomb remains pretty flexible even after the cells are welded in there. Felt like an overall good battery build for longevity of use and safety. The molicels provide great capacity and discharge rate. So even in a 3p count the over all capacity and discharge rating of this battery is just slightly higher then a 12s4p 30q would provide. It is wired for charge only to a smart BMS…these are all i use in my battery builds, their functionality is too good too pass up, I hope our own @DRI team will bring us a great smart bms soon!
OK now some pics
I mounted the TB6s to an aluminum heatsink I got of Amazon, so this particular board should be able to discharhe all its pixies before getting into thermal throttle too bad. There is no airflow for the heatsink, i didn’t really want to mess with cutting enclosure, plus there is no actuall heatsink designed for these yet. So its just internal, will help a bit tho. Going to add a metr module this week and moon nerg pulleys.
More pictures and some ride logging coming next week. After some testing this board will be up for sale likely under or right around 2k. Will make a separate thread for it.
HAHA! Close! last name end is SKY lol so SkyArt, but both could apply XD, thanks for getting those metr modules out so quickly! this data is from one of them.
