TOP rated prebuilt boards to consider Black carve 2,BKB duo etc.

The Zealot S and Duo with a Xenith ESC will not even be in the same torque realm. The Hobbywing ESC is sooo underwhelming. Bigger motors, better ESC, more amps = Duo has heaps more torque

I did that with my boosted:

It was a hassle but it got the job done.
As you can see there’s other issues: two batteries aren’t as dense as one so your enclosure is gonna be bigger with two packs stacked in there or you need to have space for another battery along side under the board.
I see the duo has that space under the board but if it’s flexy like the boosted is and you add more batteries in that space you might have problems with clearance. The Boosted had the batteries on one side and the esc on the other to give the deck space to bow down in the middle.
I couldn’t be as carefree with dropping off curbs and whatnot with the extra batteries on.

Thanks Jared. If I was to add another battery in parallel on The BKB what effect would it have on acceleration, power and top speed if any? Would it only increase the range?
Thanks for chiming in.

Only the range if you keep the xenith settings the same.

And slightly more power due to decreased voltage sag, but usually you would increase the battery limits and take advantage of that extra power, and especially regen braking

So hey kids, it is late 2021.

What are the good prebuilts these days.

My neighbor is considering getting a board.

I am not sure what to recommend.

Ownboard Zeus and Meepo Hurricane look pretty good, but are closer to 1700 bucks.

I imagine the Zealot or Zealot S is what is best under 1000 bucks.

He is looking a bit at the Wowgo AT2. which is probably 1100 bucks.
I know it is 10S and a year old, but looks kinda decent for the price.

are there any other 2 in 1s to consider in this 1200 range?

paging @ShutterShock and @Evwan as you guys seemed tuned in to what is out there a bit.

he is 190 lbs and enjoyed riding my Demonseed 42 with 110s.

last night he tried the Flux and really loved it, but I don;t think he is ready to drop 3 grand quite yet.

also, for the price these Tynee boards look good…

Zeus good for speed and range. Hammer is the most comfortable board I’ve ridden.

If the hammer had a 12s4P i think it would be a winner… but then it would also be 1700…

you tried anything decent in that 1200 zone…

I’ve not ridden any of them yet but for me I’d recommend saving for either the zeus or hurricane, they’re both killer boards

If he doesn’t like it, I imagine they’ll hold great resale value too

this was my recommendation…
they look like a really good value.

then I bumped it up to the Flux. also a really good value…

Yeah the battery gets my 200lb geared ass 9 miles. The cells are also shit, but it’s more comfortable than any other board I’ve tried. Eats up grass and dirt even.

this is a real shame…

Someone on instagram told me that he got 33 miles on a 12s4p of p42a, and that he ended the ride at 59%, literally zero clue how

Must have been making it up or something but he seemed serious

I doubt I’d get more than like 20 miles riding hard

I’m into these Tynee boards too, specifically the Ultra. I know it’s good value but at 619$, I don’t know if it’s worth it over the wowgo 2S Pro (380$, 15 miles) or the wowgo 3X if you want belts (482$, 12 miles). What do you guys think?

wowgo uses good trucks and has nice wheels… but I think the range on the 3x would not be any good because of the tiny battery…

Yea that’s where I’m at too. So other than the worries that comes with ordering from a new company, is there any better or similar value belt driven board out there other than the ultra?

I would just go for a zealot even though it is a little bit more…

to me Backfire stands at the top…

I would get a zealot too, it’s better in most ways and only 30$ more, but in europe I’d have to expect a much longer shipping, and possible big tax surplus, and also I really dislike the deck and colorway.
