Leather.

Either mechanically secured (various ways) or with thick automotive VHB tape & epoxy to seal the perimeter of the tape.

What’s that rubber riser piece thingy made out of? is that just like a 3/8 rubber slab? Feels nice and grippy.

That’s 1/4" rubber. I can get that in a lower durometer, so it would be a little squishier. That could be a good way to go. It would be durable enough.

I have about 1200 miles on my bindings on my SKP custom. They crash well, I can get out of them. I can bunny hop if I must , panicky stops are positive. I have no real issues, springs are shot(I don’t take care of them and it doesn’t make a difference). I’m 240 in gear. I have crashed them at 43 mph but I’m running trampa brush bars front and rear . I’ve gone back and forth between bindings and no, because I move my feet. I still can with these but I get more leverage on my board, I’m riding narro steep hills, I can’t run wide . Love them

Nice. I see you’re running the round profiles wheels in the front, I had thought about doing that. How do you like it? How does it behave?

I actually like it, it was born of me having 2 failed Bkb tubes in 1 ride, I was wearing a lot of gear so I did that to get back out, it might be slightly better that the 4 Bkb setup, too soon to tell but I like it so far

100% of my Bkb tubes failed at the point where the valve stem is glued on

I suppose it feels a bit nimbler in the front with the round tires, I have 30 miles like this, but it’s cold and dark, so I’m distracted

I had the tube failing issue too, a couple valve stem tears. But also a couple tube tears due to lateral forces, even with tire talc. But I could’ve also been stretching them too much in a wide hub.

That’s the perfect deck for the toe-clips.

Well it’s perfect for fooling me into feeling fast,as long as I don’t ride with anyone in real life and keep telling outrageous lies from the safety of my key board I’m good , I’m not sure I even sk8 to be honest

However if you clamp these down, lean back and launch!,you might be able to ride a wheelie,or wheelchair,either way it’s fun

Edit : sorry I’m hard to follow sometimes,a dozen or co concussions will do that,also I’m convinced I’m funny,l make my self laugh, that’s all that really matters.

Alrighty, ive been running these for about 2 and a half months over hundreds of miles and I have my brief opinion formed. I had them on a mountainboard, and there were two main issues I encountered out of the box. (I just switched to mbs f5)

First issue, they’re pretty slippery. The neoprene foam lining the inside of the hook loves to chunk and disintegrate away, which leaves them pretty slippery. Even with all of the foam and cranked down all the way, my feet would slip out while trying to jump/turn in place, which is one of the main things I use bindings for. I know a replacement material (i.e rubber) has been discussed, except as these stand now, they arent very confidence inspiring in less-than-ideal conditions. I’m using vicious grip tape too, so these also have a leg up in that regard.

Second issue, they still have a lot of flex to them. I’m not light at about 208lb (95kg) geared up, and on hard turns where I lean into them, they flex considerably, causing part of my foot to come off of my deck. With PKP trucks, bindings are imperative to turning due to the extra rebound and stiffness you get from using twice the number of bushings. I am not worried about them breaking, however the immense flex of the toe hook takes away some of my confidence when turning sharp, especially on heel-side turns.

To be clear, I’m not using these toe hooks as intended. It appears that their intended use case is to be used on street boards for extra leverage, which they’re certainly good for. They were super nice when I was street riding the mountainboard and helped me turn better around sharp corners, and I’m sure these are also good for racing, especially for lighter riders who wont cause them to flex immensely.

For anything serious that requires a lot of force be put on the bindings, I cannot recommend these. For lighter riders or street builds, they’re fantastic, and installation is super easy with the included hardware.

Nah, mine aren’t in great shape after all of the abuse (almost no foam left). And I had to sand down one of the levers to clear my esc box.

I’ll find a use for them down the line. They’re good bindings. I’m just being critical.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the foam is a work in progress. Strangely, not all riders have a problem with it. I think riders that do a lot of jumping really chew the foam up.
The clips seem to be popular with people that don’t want to go all the way up to full-straps, but still want something to hold them on their deck (kind of like me). I really like what they do for turning. It’s kind of like having a steering wheel on your board.

It’s a long distance trail-runner. I used some custom 3D-printed spacers to optimize the position.
