Yup, I missed on that.
I guess we’ll see with time on that, if some of the larger people start bending them we’ll know they weren’t strong enough
No one does it, but this is another example of a company that has not shown any ride testing
One of these days someone other than Apex will actually test their parts and show people that they’re tested, before releasing.
Yeah completely unknown until probably 6 months after release at least
A bit too early to use this as a positive, though.
The Hoyt UAV has been being tested for months now lol
Is someone going to tell them about the VESC TM Trampa issue before they push this advertising copy any further into public. @ThunderBoards you’re going to want to rename your custom vesc-based esc before you get slapped with threatening legal letterhead for using those 4 letters
I mean it says vesc based ESC but the main title yeah idk
Might be a problem, might not
So lemme get this straight, trampa has the rights to “vesc” but not “vesc based esc”?
Right, of course.
You can’t call something a VESC, but it can be based on VESC
Trademark stuff.
Weird right?
Hahah
Anyways, @ThunderBoards Best path forward for the VESC thing
Once you have your own VESC based esc developed, pick a name for it, like ThunderESC or whatever you want, only refer to it as that, and then in the notes, you can say Vesc based esc. Trust us, it’s the easiest way to not get hounded by Trampa

Bruh
What’s time travel?
Bruh
That’s how you time travel I guess.
On topic. It seems there’s a micro USB port on the side of the esc enclosure? @ThunderBoards how does this impact water ingress? Is it sealed on the inside?
those look very similar to the racestar motors evilve uses
Hi, The Production motors are not gonna be these. Nor will they come from Evolve’s motor supplier.
I think they are working on their custom ground-up designed VESC. But yeah they should have some name, instead of saying VESC based ESC, it is going to be different design anyways.
Yeah it is. But you can see their intent and what they want to focus through their products. Which is a very good thing. Because as of my experience some eboard companies sucks when it comes to customer service…
