So not only did the inserts keep coming out but I didn’t want to epoxy them in place since the actual threads were aweful

I don’t know what ones have half decent threads so I don’t know what to buy

Don’t use brass inserts use a smaller drill bit. Go up a size or two larger diameter more contact resistance I use M6 now these fucker are there for life. No epoxy needed

Was thinking about going m6 on the 4 corners and m4 or in the middle ones

Really wanted to get riding today but now gotta wait for new inserts

Lol before you commit to M6 take a hard look at how big they actually are… it’s bordering on steampunk big.

I don’t use the tool I just screw in a bolt and use battery drill on low speed, also see sickboy method…

Might use m5 instead of m6 not sure though

I would more manageable M6 makes 1cm holes in your deck. I have a reason to use such huge bolts on this build. I normally use M5.
