Youd have to cut the notches into the insert but yeah, should work

These are the cheap ones Iā€™m going to try, given the steel E-Z LOK ones are damn expensive.

This is the other ones Iā€™m thinking about but delivery time is a while.

Are there any copy ones that should work with ex lok system

Also can I ask why they are hexagonal the ones you linked

Ez-lok ftw. Ive tried others that were a breeze to put in but the internal threads were shit. I tried some that the external threads were shit and wouldnt hold in place.

Have never had an issue with ez-lok though.

How much does the standard ez lok package cost?

Do you have a link in the U.K. by any chance

Cheapest I found was Ā£30 for a kit which seems quite expensive to me

Is that or are they usually that much

No thatā€™s too much, Lots of people donā€™t use the installation tool so you can save on not buying that.

Not really sure tho hard for me to shop outside of my reign.

How would you install without an installation tool

got it out by tightening an m5 bolt into the m4 hole and yanking really hard with some pliers
scraped the wood a bit but otherwise fine

wll fill with wood glue then replace in the morning

How broken is the insert? Maybe you could tap it and use a slightly larger bolt diameter?
