This is god tier powerful. It would be cool to put those 7490s on a dyno and find out what the peak torque actually is. I assume they hit magnetic saturation before you hit 250a, but it would be super interesting to know how many amps is useful for them.
Regardless, this build is ridiculous in the best kind of way. Enjoy it and be safe out there. I’m curious if 250a per side is even rideable. I think it’s going to feel like a bucking beast, but you tell me

Okie dokie. Time for an update on this build while I wait for parts.
Dream Chaser: I had the whole machine working and I blew a beta tronic… so upgraded to a set of lil foccers. The foccers have been great so far but as for the gearing, not so much. The board fucking rips, like after getting used to the power, even Milf Hunter feels slow. That being said, I was running a 4.4 ratio with 215 mm wheels and 135kv SKP 7490s. The current plan is just to upgrade to a set of 173kv motors and keep the same gear ratio. I think this will allow me to keep a similar amount of torque because the motors don’t saturate as fast, BUT the true test will be if they can cool themselves down enough. The 135kv motors got me to 40-45 with full voltage, so hopefully I can gain some top end!
As for Milf Hunter, the future is uncertain for the old girl. The motor pinions are on the motors and have been holding fine since I did my new method, but one of the motor’s cans is slowly getting pushed in (further from the mounting plate) and I don’t like that. So, a drive train upgrade might be in MH’s near future. I plan on sharing more videos of both of them once I work out their kinks (Mainly Dream Chaser).

This thing should absolutely shred the pavement and I’m hoping to race it at AVS if they ever announce it🤣.

It’s doing well. It’s already taken some abuse while I was doing some hot laps at the golf course near me because there were giant pieces of concrete on the path that blended in. So KADOOSH x2 or 3… I wasn’t very happy but it did well.
