I am not super familiar with the company. Is there some patent they have preventing others from making something too similar? For the price and what they are it seems like it wouldn’t be all that hard for someone to come in with an off-brand version, possibly undercut them on price, and avoid the right to repair issues. With how popular they are I’m surprised no one has tried. Maybe their volume actually does make it hard to compete on price with a quality product. They’ve got pretty small batteries afaik which I think of as a decent chunk of the cost of a decent esk8 though.
