The point is that manufacturer rated Wh/capacity is irrelevant if the cells can’t provide it for the given load of the application.
Oh well if you are comparing different cell types that’s a different argument. In that case it makes sense

Take a pack made with ultra-high capacity “energy” cells with low current ratings and lots of voltage sag and put that up against a same-size pack using lower capacity (lower Wh) “power” cells.
At anything above a few amps per cell and the lower capacity/lower Wh pack will run for longer due to the reduced voltage sag you get from it.
