I understand what you’re saying here but all favoritism and prejudices aside, if you got a wheel that popped your tire on your first ride and you didn’t know and/or give a shit who Dave is on a person level you’d be angry right? You paid money for a product that only had one job…

I replaced 7 tubes and they all failed at the stem. I guess I have to take mine apart and doctor them up as well…thx for the info this helps.

This makes me think I should take apart mine and check out the edges. Got em used and the tires still had air in em…
I have this issue with mine. Time to fix them because the valve stem fucks up after like one ride with three of my wheels.

FWIW I have personally witnessed a good number of QC issues on SixShooters and FleXLs (which he can deny being a part of as much as he likes, but he and Chris were preaching that gospel hand in hand while I gorged myself on Pizza in their hotel room).
On my own observations alone, machining quality was never a strength I saw in anything from Psychotiller. Kaly, Hoyt, LaCroix, Haggy, & @moon’s stuff all far surpass PT gear in manufacturing quality/finish.
To me, Psychotiller was always ‘garage machining quality’- it was his guys constantly road testing + iterative design/listening to feedback + community engagement that made his products attractive. And then he stopped delivering.
I like Dave personally, always have. But from a business perspective he has earned the criticisms imo.

I was only arguing against the term ‘Always’. Its factually incorrect in this instance as I have 3 sets of 6 shooters that have zero issues. I am not claiming the issue doesn’t exist on some, I am arguing that the issue doesn’t exist on all of them.

Totally agreed on those points. But passionate people are generally never shy with hyperbole. 
Curious- when did you order your SixShooters? Older hubs?

I have an original beta set, a couple of sets over the last couple of years. I honestly don’t remember the dates.

My complete bullshit guess in the dark is that quality might not have been maintained over the years as other people came into the mix. The newer stuff was what I saw issues with.
