While I agree, I dont think it should be being sold for consumer use. I wouldnt even buy to salvage the cells. Wonky packs usually mean there are more problems. Meaning, if they’re too lazy to make a straight pack, what else were they lazy about? Not worth the POSSIBLE bomb being shipped.

It’s hard to tell with just that one picture. Not quite shitty DIY but no way that build quality is worth $800 when it’s only $300 in cells. Aside from the balance routing comments, the pgroups look isolated but perhaps inadequately, and it looks like folded nickel series connections.
All the other pics are of it wrapped. Veni Vici has posted in the 18650 group with some decent flexi battery builds, so maybe this was one of his early ones.
