Took her for the first test run today after the following upgrades:

  • New 12s8p moli p45B pack (previously 12s6p p42)

  • 2x radium 205KV 6485 & 2x 6455 (previously 190kv)

  • new dv6pro to rear (previously dv6)

I was a little ambitious with my inital settings and had the amps so high that the wheels were constantly spinning under my feet.

I dialed them back to 130A motor amps / 80A battery amps per motor at the rear and 70A/40A per motor at the front and have been extremely impressed with my first run. Much more torque than im used to, which hopefully means some good racing results ahead!

Made a few small adjustments to the racer, mainly lowering the ride height as suggested by @Mbrady. After some initial clearance issues (front motor mounts hitting the neck) ive managed to dial it in and the board is feeling better than ever.

Its dropped by about 5mm, and is realistically as low as it can go now. It certainly wouldn’t have survived Vegas streets at this height

Coupled with the wide BRPs, I was able to hang heelside turns so much faster than I have previously and managed to jump a spot on the Chicago circuit. Still got some work to do to catch Morgan and Mario but I’m gonna put in the work!

The new beast is assembled after a lot of tinkering.
Specs:
Newbee quick link hubs
4 x Newbee gear drives
Newbee triplinks (still have some bugs to address but all fixable)
2 x radium 6485s (rear)
2 x radium 6455s (front)
2 x dv6s
Exway venator tires (very happy with them)

Got my 12s… jks…

Interesting it made such a difference getting lower. I may have to abandon the double stack on the semenbone

v5 owners nodding in agreement.

I know someone selling a 16s6p p45b single stack for a Semenbone :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Haha don’t worry man it’s always in the back of my mind. D100’s being so small it must be close to fitting two in one of those enclosures you guys are using.

Can easily do something custom for you man. Just say the word :+1:

Once you experience a V5 you understand how magic it is to be at the axle height.

Do you scrape your belly pan? Tried a v5 at I2S (I think Ron’s) and just kept scraping the belly pan in corners haha. I think Tucker had a different pan made cause he was scraping too right?

I have scraped. but not often. i don’t think about it. Tucker’s old belly pan was unusually large. i scraped it immediately.

( on topic attempt )

but… does muckraker scrape?
