The Last Century

You guys are in for a treat today, what I have here is the last (or one of the very last) century 40’s from Subsonic. This deck took about 8 months to make it to my house, I received it in late may 2021. I went all out, crazy stain, fiberglass top and bottom, eboards Peru enclosure, and lastly a crazy stiff deck suitable for up to 280 lbs (probably more).

This board took a long long time to complete, not because it was difficult, but because parts took forever to come. The last part finally arrived, custom Subsonic vinyl. I did ask for a white Logo, but the bottom of the deck was bare upon arriving, huge disappointment. No problem though, the deck is phenomenal.

Parts List:
Ownboard DKP with motor mounts
Barrel plug bushings
Dual 6374’s
3d printed belt covers
TB 110 arctic blue wheels
15/38 ratio
Subsonic Century 40
Yobis V1
waterborne bracket
Eboards Peru enclosure
12s4p (Propulsion Boards)
Dual TB Torque 6 ESC’s
Custom aluminum risers and anti sink plates
wedge risers
Shred Lights
Other bits and pieces…

I know what you are thinking, why dkp. Honestly, I like them! Im used to a surf skate, and love the carvy feeling. I am saving up for some NKP’s but for now these are great. For those who are wondering I’ve hit 27 with no signs of wobble but I am not comfortable going faster (yet). Ive slightly dewedged the front and back to make it the perfect combo of carve and stability.

I’ll get some better pics when the weather lets up.

only got 2 that are finished round here, ones stain and frit, ones straight quartz sand, which is more like griptape but permanent. got like 15 more to do right now. gonna be sanding decks down all fuckin day xD
nice build though! i like the purple. and those cable sheathes are nice. this ones red, but the skins got a lotta purple in it, gonna leave the edges red so they pop.

Ah yes, I also asked for stained edges and drill holes for a 0 degree setup in back, but did not receive. Sanding decks is fun but so so time consuming. Check out this deck that I need to re skin, lol, there’s about 1/4 inch of epoxy fml.

Are those the new flipsky pkp rkp thingamawhats?? Whats the verdict on em? Sliiiick build dood, the whitewalls are always a classic move, mostly anyway, definitely looks good on your ride anyway

Bro i couldnt help it. Between all the new goodies out this time of year. I wanted to support mbs with their new deck, but its going to be tough to get. The trucks seem of immacualte quality, in addition the mounts have zero play and they are excessively long and large almost 1/2 inch thick or more at points. The problem for me is i need to source 500mm belts.

Happy to post more pictures. No rides yet but im used to dkp so im sure this will be day and night.

I didnt like the idea of 60 dollar trucks going on my main board where the deck is the prize.

Also thanks! I dig the white walls anyway.

Yeah the trucks do look pretty fuckin noice, those mounts look dope, the whole thing rly intriguing…minus 500mm belts, ima have to try that with a smaller pulley lmao

Since these trucks i have added ~ 15 Ehp

The trucks are beyond stable, maxing out the throttle most times ( 12s3p 40T 15/72 gearing) which is about 30. On dkp this was the max i would ride but on these trucks 30mph is just the beginning.

What is going on with that fin/radiator for the motors?

Initially wanted some aluminum fins for both looks and whatever cooling or protection it offers, decided on delrin for durability/color/ weight. Metal obviously would be more apt for this bc of its thermal capacity but the weight would be absurd. It was an idea i came up with recently but unfortunately a machining error resulted in 1.2x size so i have a lil bit bigger clearance. Room for bigger motors.

Edit: machining error being an error on my end with the file.

External esc from battery means bigger battery!

Planning a 12s4 or 5p 40t build from somewgat grave yard batteries. Yes safety is in mind. One 12s3p is in mint shap 50.4v and i have another 12s3p with 2 packs that drifted. Thinking of combining them.
