Or some sort of asymmetry might make it aggressive and angular looking.
Whatās the length of standing platform (between drops) bro?
That seems long⦠is that the valleys or the peaks?
Peaks
Thanks mate. She pressed up solid at 300mm width so Iāve got plenty of space to play with.
Iāll do a template of the enclosure and base all the shape ideas off that - good idea.
I want it to look super aggressive.
Chris was also great help with som 3link measurements. We worked out that distance / length from tip of deck to shoulder should be around 180-190mm to accommodate the 3links and avoid any deck scrubbing.
Does this sound about right to you guys?
Definitely thinking of something directional for sure.
Apologies but Iām of no help there, I never actually measured anything in regards to that, just trialled and errored
I think if we can trim back just the centre truck/centre spine area and if we do not have to touch anything else if we donāt want to run 3 links I think this would be a great compromise if possible.
It would be great to have a board that we could tailor to individual needs if it didnāt add unnecessary extra work on your end.
I have the cutout template.
I can get you some measurements and/or a top-down profile pic if it helps
Cheers man. Top down and a couple of distances from tips to shoulders would be a huge help.
Trying to come up with a cool shape that is a bit different but still practical for the 3 links and enclosure. The reality is there are only so many ways to shape a board like this and every design Iāve come up with looks similar to something else out there.
This is where Iāve landed for the first attempt - Iām quite happy with it but it does have a bit of a Red Ember Vibe to it.
Iād really like to hear peoples honest options on it - go onā¦.insult me.
I like the tip and the intent behind the other shapes but I think itās a bit too much for me personally.
I prefer a bit more streamline design language.
Did you sketch out anything else before cutting this one?
I agree, the ends look great but the scallops are a harsh. I like the OG shape of this deck, my 2c add the flowstate fishbone to the ends and streamline these as a race deck.
It really comes down to two options. Pointy and detailed like this or just go to exactly what @glyphiks had designed.
The enclosure is massive so really doesnāt leave any room for different shapes.
Thanks for your input man! Iām thinking youāre right
I like the angular front.
Maybe not the curved detailed cutouts so much. Simplify / straighten those a lil bit I reckon.
My 2c
What are you building these days
