Just saw that, the 4wd looks cool, but can’t imagine the range on that considering their battery pack size.
Would have been interesting to see the 4wd, but yes, range, weight, and price would certainly be factors.
Couldn’t see any of these really turning around Boosted.
All of those models were concepts for the v3 lineup along with the embedded RGB led. The bikes were never produced. The tony hawk birdhouse thing was legit and in the works. None would have turned around boosted. The Rev and VC money killed them. The scooter is a concept that became the rev. Sam is clueless.
Not sure I actually agree that any of these were even considered for development aside from the tony hawk one which is just a deck swapped mini.
All of those other boards shown are nothing past the render phase, and interestingly those rendered are compared to a V2. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for them to be side by side with a V2, when they’ve had the plus/stealth out for almost 2 years, if the renders were actually current.
With the insane amount of staff boosted had, no doubt they were working on some cool stuff. But those do not appear to be recent developments in any way.
I don’t understand why Sam sets up his videos about boosted boards like no other board exists, and he doesn’t seem to acknowledge diy at all.
He wants a 4wd board… if only he knew the likes of bioboards
Would bring good exposure to diy boards but alas
DIY is a lot of hassle and not everyone has time nor the passion for that.
Quite often people who seem to never stop moving behave that way because when they stop, they have to face themselves. Easier to keep moving.
I bet none of the shit he does makes him happy, and it never will until he stops and fixes up the mess in his backyard
Not future products, Sam got it all wrong.
Its prototypes for the Minis and V3 boards (Stealth and Plus) the renders are from 2017 and up.
The birdhouse Tony hawk was real in progress for 2020
My friend’s boosted V1 dual stopped working and I am trying to fix it for him. I was wondering if any of you have experience fixing these or know of any good resources? The board and remote have a full battery and do connect, but remote input is ignored. Nothing happens.
My friend told me, that during its last ride, the board did suddenly go off and then back on during acceleration, several times, and then died.
Before I switch out all electronics - might there be a way to save it?
Wtf YAMAHA was going to buy out boosted?
Makes me hopeful they want to keep pushing the electric game. They’ve been making golf carts for a long ass time so I’d be ok with them focusing on electric fun.
Lol after rich rebuilds built the cyberquad from the raptor, I imagine Yamaha got interested
That article seems like a write up of the waveform podcast MKBHD did months ago. Useless info now I guess but was pretty interesting to hear direct accounts of what was going on.
Ah must have missed the news. Definitely had to read it twice.
