The Domino's Board | Senderized Hummie deck | "Budget build"

Looks great - I love the style of this build. Glad you didn’t remove too much of the deck either, I was afraid when you said you started sanding…

Riptide all the way.

Redember… I think I remember @jamie making a Bludgeon or two in similar style to the Hummie deck. That is, it’s got a nice bit of cutout for a slimmer profile with the enclosure.

Also agreed here. I did rear-mounted motors exactly once and then never again.

Small update

Idk how but the 12s2p battery died

Friend finally paid me back for all the parts, but but didn’t want to spend the money on a proper 12s4p with P28As, so instead we just repurposed my brother’s old 10s4p 30Q battery.

I put in a Flipsky Antispark switch to control turning the board on and off (no button, so roll to start and auto shutoff only), and also replaced the mini remote with a VX1 to be able to see the battery level.

I also added hot glue over all the JST connections and to secure the capacitors, since I’ve heard that they can fall off due to vibration fatigue otherwise.

Bonus: Be careful when soldering XT-90s live

Also learned that silicone remover works well for cleaning off butyl tape

Btw if anyone is interested in this deck, the board might be up for sale soon, since the friend doesn’t ride it / killed the battery. Not sure yet.

Replaced the charge port with a proper SP-13 one. Battery was sitting at ideal storage voltage, everything works, board is for sale
