Hi there, I got a Metr pro CAN connected to me ESC working but how do I connect my Flexibms? I can’t find a wiring guide. I suppose I have to use the second Can with the two cables but move the positions of the pins? Could not find any description
Thanks

Seb

@rpasichnyk With METR PRO CAN, what does the red “EXT” target means? It flashes in the bottom right corner of my screen.

It is indicating the “EXTernal” Gps module. If it blinks read means that it hasn’t established a ping with the satellites. It goes green with the number of satellites connected, once established.

Hi,
I got a metr pro on a ubox 100v and for some reason when i try to use the vesc app, the app will read some of the info off the metr but the metr wont read anything from the app so i cant change any settings. The metr app works fine tho but i prefer using vesc app to change settings. Y cant my metr read from the vesc app?

Metr Pro only can have one connection at a time. If you want to use VESC Tool, first force close metr app.

I just did this two days ago. Yes you have to change pins on the 2 pin wire to match canh and canl of the flexibms

If I remember correctly. Green is CANL and white is CANH. But please do a idiot check twice.

Yes i did that but vesc app still does not work.

Hey quick question, i accidentally left my board on in the car when going down the highway and i use this to accuratly track my rides so i can better judge my battery life cycles and stats is their a way to split a ride and remove a segment of it?

Metr should only tracks speed and movement while the board is actively riding. It may track the GPS but that usually doesn’t add onto the speed, except if enabled if i remember correctly.

You additionally can go into settings - Records - enable “automatic pause” and enter a few seconds (i use 5)

So when the board is not rolling it’ll pause the record after X seconds and resume after it rolls again.

Hello Everyone,

Is there a way to get the metr/vesc data on my Garmin Venu2 Smartwatch or does it only work on androidwear and apple…?

a dedicated app would be best but a workaround to get a notifocation on my watch if the battery runs low or passes 50% would allready be great.

hope you can help me cause I cant find anything in the forum,

THANKS

Did something change with how the metr logs display on the forums? I can’t seem to get it to show the interactive box

Thank you for letting me know, I just found a problem that happened during site update couple weeks ago and fixed it. Forum cached the link in your post, but if you try to use another link, it should work.

as a feature request, can we get the ability to upload FW from the metr app without needing VESCtool?

I wonder if that is even possible through the uart port

well the metr can act as a TCP bridge to VESCtool, and VESCtool can upload FW over TCP as people claim, so why shouldn’t this work?

Hmmmm I suppose that is a good point

It feels risky though, what if a packet gets lost, does that mean your firmware is corrupted?

I’ve never found bluetooth to be particularly reliable
